Bambina Ballerina Giveaway
THIS GIVEAWAY ISN NOW CLOSED!Bambina Ballerina carries the cutest hair bow holders I have ever seen. The second I saw them I completely fell in love with them, and of course have to have one of my own for my girls. What I love is that Sam (my 5 year old) is in Ballet and loves anything to do with Ballet! I of course love displaying the girls hair bows. As a maker of hair bows, (yes I have my own Bowtique) I love to keep my girls hair bows where they will keep their form, why not put them on a cute bow holder?
The Full size ( Princess length) run approx 28-30 inches from shoulder to the bottom of the skirt. On the princess length, the ribbons are approx 14-16 inches a piece and that dictates how much length you have for bow hanging. An average bow holder has 5-6 feet in length for your bows! I take the pictures up close so you can view, but they are not as "Tall" as they look.
The mini size are 15-17 inches from top to bottom. The ribbons on the holders are 8-9 inches a piece.
Aren't they beautiful?

Would you like to win one?
Well lets have a design contest! Basically come up with any design and a name for your design and Trisha the lovely lady behind Bambina Ballerina will pick the best design! The winner will get to choose either the design they made or a 25 dollar gift certificate to Bambina Ballerina.
My design would be the body hot pink and brown polka dots since my girls room is pink and brown polka dots, and for the tulle I would love a mix of pink and brown tulle with crystals on the tulle to give it a glimmer look! I would also love the body to have the satin ribbon criss-crossing to make it look kind of like a corset. I would call it S & S's Pink Polka Fun!
What would you design? To enter, leave me a comment with your design and the name of your design. The contest will run from March 30th and end on April 12th! Trisha will pick her favorite design on April 12th!

These are so pretty! I would design one with wings! Pretty fairy wings attached to the back of the bodice. The colours would be petal pink, lilac, fairy sage green and white. The whole thing would need to have a bit of sparkle to it (fairy dust). The ends of the ribbons would have flowers on them. I would call it the woodland fairy.

Thanks so much Amanda! I am really looking forward to all the creative design ideas and picking a winner (or maybe a few?) and being inspired. This is a great way for my new line to be 'made' by the moms out there. I lost my last line to a fire I had in my home, so I am trying to put all new stuff together. Thanks everyone for the fun contest!

I love these bowholders, they look so well-made and professional! If I were going to design one I think I'd want it to be all white w/ pale pink ribbons - very simple and ballerina-ish.
3/30/2008 8:00 AM
That is a great blog!! :) would love to see them everywhere. If only I had girls. LOL WTG Trisha.
3/30/2008 10:30 AM
OMG I love them!!! Okay while you would think ballerinas would be nice pastels colors. I would design something bright with bright pinks and greens, it would ahve to have some sparkles on the leotard. Maybe with some sort of disign on it as well maybe polka dots, or even a butterfily. It would have a bright design because not all balerinas like pastels! I just love these, personally I would love a brighter design.
3/30/2008 10:54 AM
My design would be either hot pink or chocolate (my fav color combo)and have a variety of ice cream flavors on it like sherbert, lime, chocolate, strawberry, etc and I love dragonflies so it would have to have some of those on there as well! Love satin bows and sparkles to fancy it up! I would probably call it Summertime Luvin' at the Ice Cream Parlor! :)
3/30/2008 3:42 PM
Aren't they just ADORABLE?! I love them!!
3/30/2008 5:37 PM
I would design each ballerina dress in a different color, and I'd put a kitten on the bodice of one, a puppy on another, a baby unicorn on another, and a pony on another. Little girls love little animals too!
3/30/2008 6:02 PM

3/31/2008 1:11 PM
My daughters name is my inspiration for this one. I would use the bodice body above as seen on the Prima Ballerina and the main color would be a lovely Cream/Off-White color while the tuile would be a nice Iris (blue/purple) and Yellow. The ribbons would criss-cross the body and those would also be the same as the tuile.
I would call it Bailey's Iris Cream!

I would have a medium pink bodice with dark pink cris crossing. The skirt would be two layers of tulle, dark pink and medium pink on top. The ribbons hang down would be medium pink with light pink polda dots and a pale pink rosette would be at the bottom of each.
3/31/2008 2:54 PM

3/31/2008 6:38 PM
Mine would have a kitten print (Michael Miller Kitty Kids would be great!) on the bodice and a pouf of pale pink and white tulle with leopard print ribbons to hang bows on. And I would call it "hang in there, kitty!"
3/31/2008 7:45 PM
These are BEAUTIFUL, I love them even more than the gorgeous frames that hold ribbon clippies that are becoming so popular.
My design suggestion would be to do some pastel flapper girl type dresses with fringed bottoms. You could make some gorgeous designs using light blue, lavender, and pink. I'd also love to see more pink and green combos... I love the dark green and pink clip holder you have designed.
Thanks for a fun giveaway!
Marissa :)

Oh I'd have to say that the top would be a white with a delicate daisy design on the background. The skirt would be yellow with white ribbons. :)
I would call it Crazy for Daisy.
I'd like that design because my daughter's middle name is Daisy. She was named after the song, "Daisy Daisy Give me your answer true. I'm half crazy all for the love of you..."
4/01/2008 8:58 AM
I don't know how I could design one better than the ones pictured. But my grandaughter loves elephants, so my design would be three pink and purple elephants using their trunks to hold the bows. I would call it Stephanie's Elephants.
4/01/2008 9:46 AM
I think the dresser are a great idea. So I would make mine look like a pair of pink ballet slippers and you could put the bows on the laces of the slippers. I would call it faerie princess slippers.

Someone already took my idea for the Fairy Wings, which I think would be adorable!
My other idea would be a "Flower Girl" edition. Rather than several "cropped" tulle layers, it would have one or two layers that are sort of "bubble layers" and fill with little flowers, flower petals, and/or sparkles inside the tulle. And the bodice would have some sparkle to it too! Perfect little flower girl gift with some bows attached!
It would be mostly white. White bodice and tulle, with alot of sparkle especially on the bodice. And the flower inserts and ribbons would a pastel of choice.

I like the idea of the black toile print on the body with a white tulle with black ribbons and call it "Viva La Ballerina"
4/02/2008 3:54 PM
I would design one with black and fuschia accents. I would call it The Enchanted
4/03/2008 12:04 PM
I'd use teal and chocolate!
4/03/2008 12:18 PM
My design would have Hot pink body up top and a black tulle skirt. I would have the same bright pink ribbon look going down the skirt & then black small ribbon up top to make it look like it ties up. I would choose to have teal little jewels all over to add a little sparkle but add some other color too. I would call it. Liya Beautiful.
4/03/2008 7:22 PM
I think I would like one that is a soft shade of purple for the body with a glimerry white tulle for the skirt. Under the white tulle, one layer of a pretty pink to give some interest. I think a pair of glimmery white wings coming from the back and some beautiful flowers around the waist would really make it look like she was a "Flower Fairy" - just like my little one!
4/03/2008 9:09 PM
Cute idea for a giveaway.
My design would be, the leotard on top done in a stoney looking fabric, alot like a rock, though a darker colored rock. In the middle of the leotard would be a diamond (There can be small diamonds lining the outside of the leotard)
Then along the bottom edge of the leotard where it meets with the skirt, it would say, "A diamond in the rough".
The skirt would be made of a greyish fabric, with black bows and a dazzling diamond in the middle of the bow loops.
It would be called "A Diamond in the Rough"
4/04/2008 10:31 AM
I went to the Bambina Ballerina site and saw the "coming soon" fabrics. It jump-started my creativity!
1. "Lazy Days" material for the bodice
2. Butterfly wings on the backside in the light pink color (with polka dots, like the tiny pink butterfly in the material, if at all possible)
3. Tulle skirt in the light pink color with hot-pink satin ribbons
4. Bow detailing at the top of the satin ribbons in a bright yellow color with dainty tiny flowers as accents in the center of the bows (can be multicolored or one solid pink color, depending on your supply).
I would call this "Butterfly Kisses"
Oh, I'm so excited! Thanks for sharing!!

I think these little bow holders are so incredibly adorable!
I would make a Strawberry Shortcake bodice with Red tulle for the skirt. I would add some pink tulle to mix in with the red. I would have red ribbon cross cross the bodice with bows on the waist. Trailing over the red tulle skirt, I would have long, thin pink ribbon (to hold the bows) with pink roses on the end of the ribbons.

These are so pretty!
4/12/2008 7:33 PM
My design: body in a leopard print since my grandaughter's bedding has a Safari theme with all the jungle animals. For the tulle I would choose a pale yellow trimmed with satin chocolate ribbons topped by a brighter shade of yellow bow. I would name it "Jungle Princess" or just simply "Safari." I leopard was difficult to match...then perhaps a giraffe print would be easier to match with the pale yellow.
4/12/2008 9:05 PM
cute
4/12/2008 9:30 PM
I would have flying unicorns on a pink background for the body and purple lace for the tulle. The ribbons would be white and have pink rosettes. The design would be called "Unicorn Utopia".
