Product Review & Giveaway: Bitty Braille

THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED, PLEASE CHECK ABCK FOR THE WINNER. THANKS!

bitty braille

Bitty Braille has the most unique shirts I have ever seen. I completely feel in love with them the moment I saw them. I have never seen children's t-shirts with Braille on them. The concept behind Bitty Braille is that it introduces Braille to young children. Bitty Braille features simple "kid-friendly" fun words, written on tees in Braille, with exquisite faceted rhinestuds for girls and metal studs for boys. Bitty Braille donates a portion of every sale to the American Foundation for the Blind (afb.org). The AFB is a national nonprofit organization founded in 1921 to provide research, representation, information and discussion regarding the possibilities for people with vision loss. Helen Keller worked for AFB for over 40 years until her death in 1968.
The first products to Bitty Braille were the Personalized Braille name pendants and birthstone Braille initial charms were the first products in the Braille line of goodies. Bitty Braille infant and toddler tees are the next step.
The concept is to introduce Braille to the young in addition to offering a unique, hip and trendy collection of tees. They are custom handcrafted by the owner/designer in her central NY home studio on 100% cotton American Apparel tees.

We received the lavender shirt that says "smile" on it. MY girls are always making people smile, so I figured when people read "smile" on the shirt, they would indeed smile! I love how soft the tees are. Each tee is hand crafted, so technically they are OOAK. I showed the shirt to hubby and he smiled and said, "that is really cute" I then said, "yes but did you notice it is written in braille?" His eyes got big and said, "wow, that is really neat. I have never seen a shirt with Brailled on it"

Bitty Braille offers more than just adorable shirts! Their newest product is the alphabet tiles. A great educational tool! Useful for both sighted & visually impaired children and adults. Perfect for learning each letter as well as spelling words.

You can also find personalized tees, hair clips (the charm on the clip spells the first initial of your little girls name) and bitty birthstone charms.

If you want to purchase your own Bitty Braille item you can visit their website at Bitty Braille

Bitty braille is also giving my readers a chance to win a 33 dollar gift certificate. The winner will be able to choose any shirt or item they like! All you have to do to enter is visit Bitty Braille, take a look around and then tell me in a comment what product you would buy if you won!
This giveaway is for U.S. Residents Only!
Also, you can leave an email address if you'd like to be contacted directly; I'll be submitting the winner's name and contact instructions to
PRIZEY.Fetch, though, so if you'd prefer you can check there after the giveaway closes

This giveaway will run from March 7th to March 15th 2008.

I love the lavender silly tee. This is such a great idea, especially now a days where there is so much focus on children learning languages other than their own fluent one.
