Healthy Kids Plate

Super Healthy Kids is here to help empower the kids! Teach them healthy eating can be delicious! Eat simple, healthy food at home, and enjoy it. Good health doesn't need to be complicated. As a parent I am constantly trying to feed my children healthy foods for their growing bodies. Eating healthy and making healthy snack choices start at a young age. Luckily my children love eating fruits and veggies, but I have made a huge effort in letting them know how important it is to eat healthy.

We received a kids Healthy Habits plate . It show kids what healthy, balanced meal should look like, so they can be the ones to say, "Hey mom, I need more vegetables on my plate." and that is exactly what Sam said the other night with her dinner. She loves how each section is for that specific food group. At first she tried telling me that her nuggets went where her veggies go, but then she saw the pictures and said "ohh I see" But then she had to fill the rest of her veggie side with fruit. She loves the plate.

Super Healthy Kids has tons of great resource for parents, if your unsure on how much your child should be eating each day, protein, fruits, veggies, and grains then this site would be very beneficial. They also have ways to make food more fun, like dying eggs. Don't just do it for Easter, do it all year. Kids love to dye the eggs and it makes it that much more fun to eat as well!

A critical underpinning of a healthy diet is unquestionably the consumption of fresh vegetables and fruits. Unfortunately, many adults do not like these fine foods - so kids are the concern. Anyone interested in getting kids to develop a friendly attitude towards fruits and vegetables should take a look at a new book called “The ABC’s of Fruits and Vegetables and Beyond.” Great for kids of all ages – children even learn their alphabet through produce poems. Out only six months it is already being used in educational programs. It is coauthored by best-selling food writer David Goldbeck and Jim Henson writer Steve Charney.
