Our Story

I met Patrick in September of my Junior year of high school, right after my 17th birthday. We met at Church. He and I were both doing The Singing Christmas Tree together. This is our church's Christmas pageant.
The months leading up to us "officially" dating we became good friends, we got to the point where we had to always be together. Well our Christmas Pageant was the first week of December. Our story started on December 15 2001. Pat and I were driving after getting coffee. Getting coffee was something we always did together. We loved to go driving and just talk. Over the past few months we had become rather good friends.
Well that night (12/15) he happened to stop at a double arrowed sign
at the bottom of the street I had grown up on, we just sat there talking and after a while I stopped and looked at him and told him that I was starting to fall in love with him. I really didn't know how it would affect our friendship but I just had to tell him how I felt. He told me he felt the same way. After that day we became a couple and were inseparable. That following year on my birthday (9/21), he had picked me up from school and we were going to celebrate by going to Disneyland. We had to stop at my house to get my stuff for the weekend, and he stopped once again at that double arrowed sign. He got out of the car, and of course I was thinking "what is he doing", he motioned for me to get out and I did. I walked over to him and he took me by the hand and said "this is where you gave me your heart, this is where I give you mine" he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him.
We got married two years later on December 13th 2003. We wanted to get married on the 15th but unfortunately no one would have come if it had been on a Monday night.
The picture above is from our engagement.
Here we are going on five years being married and two beautiful baby girls. He is my all, my everything, my love.

What an ADORABLE story. Maybe it's the hormones, but I got all teary eyed!
That's cool that you wanted to get married on the 15th. I got married on Dec 15th because it was the wedding anniversary of my Grandma and Grandpa and my Grandpa had just passed away and we wanted the memory to live on. So looks like the day has many MANY meanings of love. :)
What a great story you shared!
